The Art of Observation: Fine Tuning the Clinical Skills to not Only Look but to see...
Event box
Paintings reveal stories and represent people who live and breathe the complicated realities of life. There is much to learn and discover in examining a collection from the Metropolitan Museum of Art as the Health Sciences Library welcomes Carolyn Halpin-Healy to the Nevins Auditorium on Monday, November 5th at 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Carolyn holds an MA in Art History from Williams College and is the Executive Director of Arts and Minds which she co-founded with neurologist James M. Noble, M.D., in 2010.
The value of art observation in medical education has been increasing since 1998, when Yale Medical School first started offering art courses to its students. Since then, other medical schools have seen the benefits of this humanistic component to their curriculum.
Join us to be a part of this important movement of learning and discovery.
